Visible mending is a relaxing, empowering, meditative activity that keeps clothing out of landfills. Learn to use needle, thread, and a few simple stitches to highlight imperfections, turning clothing repair into creative features.

Please join the twice-monthly intergenerational mending parties at the Van Nuys Branch. All ages (teens and adults) and skill levels are welcome to participate – you will teach and learn from each other. Bring a garment that needs a bit of repair, whether it is torn, has a hole, is missing a button, or has a stain. Some basic supplies will be provided.
