Library: Beginning Karate

Karate is a traditional form of self-defense from Okinawa, Japan. Students will learn a portion of the basic techniques and drills that they would encounter in a real karate class as well as the culture, history, and traditions of East Asia.

Recommended for children ages 6-13. Please wear clothes you can comfortably kick, stretch, and tumble in such as t-shirt and sweatpants or athletic wear. Sign up at the Information Desk - space is limited.
